TESTIMONIALS

September 22nd 2008

We were so lucky to have the best guide on the Inca trail. Oscar was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history, culture, flora, and fauna. He is friendly, funny and supportive on the difficult parts. Thanks to Oscar our memories of the Inca Trail will stay with us forever and it was the highlight of our trip to Peru.

Thanks Oscar.

Our Lares Trek 5/13/09

Dear TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU

I would like to thank you so much for making my trek to Machu Picchu such a wonderful experience. TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU was nothing short of impressive. Your organization did an excellent job coordinating and planning our journey - everything was perfect. From the food to the equipment, from the guides to the horsemen, from the actual location of the trek to the logistics of our Machu Picchu excursion. All was conducted with the highest integrity and professionalism.... I am impressed with your organization and am extremely happy to have chosen TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU. It is my distinct pleasure to suggest your organization to family and friends traveling to Peru in the future.

Our guide, Mr. Oscar Quispe, is a wonderful asset to have in your organization. You are very lucky to have such a personable, funny, and knowledgeable leader for your treks. Oscar was the catalyst for cohesion in our group and became both a friend & a teacher during our 4 days in the Lares Valley. Several tears were shed as we left Oscar at the train terminal in Aguas Calientes.... a sure sign that having a good guide helped make our experience so memorable.

I commend you for creating such a great trekking company. Many, many thanks.

Sincerely,
Jason M. Jacoby

Inca Trail 2009/11/8

Hello Oscar,

I am back home in the US and having fun sharing my experiences of Peru and Machu Picchu (MP) with my family and friends. When they ask about hiking the Inca Trail and MP, I tell them it was "the highlight of my life" and that's saying a lot since I have traveled 5 continents and loved every place I've been to. Having you as a tour guide certainly helped things run smoothly. I am grateful for how professionally you handled my ill-prepared friend in encouraging him to hire an extra porter for his day pack as I was getting stuck carrying it...(but he would not take my advice)....again, thank you.

Also, I so appreciated your sense of humor and keeping things light when many of us were tired, achy, nauseous or all of the above. You made us feel confident that, in the end, all our hard work would pay off...and it did. I would have enjoyed the trek even if Machu Picchu wasn't waiting for us...the scenery and porters were amazing. Like I said at our "last supper" we don't know what we as tourists are going to get for our money when we book this trip many months in advance and from thousands of miles away but, our expectations were exceeded. It was hard to hear others (on the train back to town) speak badly of their experience with a "cheaper" company.

We do hope our (donated) shoes keep your porters safe and comfortable on the Trail.

Your friend, Theresa Diaz (Colorado, USA)
