TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PROGRAMS AND SERVICES PRICES

  • All prices are listed in American dollars and include all taxes for non-residents in Peru tourists.
  • Prices for groups over 15 passengers are subject to discounts. 
    Please ask our reservation agent at info@trekstomachupicchu.com

RESERVATION AND DEPOSITS

  • The system must only process reserves received at least 1 month before the date of beginning of the tourist services.
  • To confirm your reserves, we must have received the payment for services or the guarantee deposit.

TOURIST PACKAGES / TOUR RESERVATIONS

  • All requirement of tourist package or tour which are confirmed, have all services guaranteed.
  • The confirmation of your reserve must be sent by e-mail with the reservation code of each tourist program required.
  • The confirmation will only proceed after we receive your on-line reserve or a guarantee deposit.
  • The guarantee deposit is a payment in advance of US $ 200.00, which is not refundable if the reserve is cancelled.
  • The total payment of the packages / tours must be made the first day we meet in Lima, prior of the beginning date of the travel program.

PENALTIES

  • There will be no refund for portions of tour / packages that haven’t been used due to passenger decision, once the tour / package is going on. 
  • Every cancellation made by passenger before 30 days prior the beginning date of the tour, must be subject to a penalty of US $ 200 of the non-refundable deposit plus US $ 50 of administrative expenses.
  • Every cancellation made by passenger, within 30 and 2 days prior the beginning date of tour, must be subject to a penalty of 50% of the program price plus US $ 50 of administrative expenses.
  • Every cancellation made by passenger, between 2 and the beginning date of the tour must be subject to a penalty of 75% of the program price plus US $ 50 of administrative expenses.
  • Every cancellation made by passenger when the tour company starts giving the service must be not refundable.
  • Note: Reservation for Inca Trail programs is not refundable.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS: (NOT INCLUDED IN TOURIST PACKAGES)

We can help you to book your accommodation in Cusco, by giving you the name of some good hotels.

AIR, BUS OR TRAIN TICKETS RESERVATIONS (NOT INCLUDED IN TOURIST PACKAGES)

We can help you to book your air, bus, or train journey by giving you advice of which service you can take

DOCUMENTS

  • The passengers must carry with themselves a valid passport and all visas required for the whole of the journey, it is legal rule in Peru.
  • For the discharge of the payment of the tax IGV you will show your passport.
  • Any information or advice given by the company on visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment, etc is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of the company.

BAGGAGE

  • Baggage transportation is limited to 44 lb (20 Kg) per passenger for all the flights and local land carriers.
  • The owners have the responsibility of their baggage, unless the baggage has an own insurance.
  • Small objects as video or photo cameras, binoculars, bags, umbrellas, etc are responsibility of their owners, and are recommendable to get insurance.
  • Is recommendable to carry all the baggage well closed and with personal identification.

LIABILITY

Liability for services not provided, due to negligence of TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU and or its employees is limited to the real cost of the omitted services and excludes all resulting indirect costs and consequences.
In the event of the above, TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU will make its best effort to provide alternative arrangements at the same cost, subject to availability.

EXECUTION OF REIMBURSEMENT OF THE PACKAGES, TOUR,
ACCOMMODATION OR TICKETS

If TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU fails to fulfill its obligation for services, hotels, meals and or transportation as indicated in the travel program, a reimbursement will be provided within 30 days of the client submitting a claim or write out authorization from any of our local or foreign agents.
No claims will be considered if made later than 30 days after termination of the tour.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBLIGATIONS

TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU is responsible for providing all the services and accommodations exactly as advertised on the web site.
In case of strikes or political manifestations, natural disasters, severe weather or any other acts of nature, TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU is not responsible for the services not provided.
If for any reason the transportation chosen by the passenger (bus, flight, train, etc) don’t arrive to destiny at the date and hour programmed for take tour or program reserved , TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU and the Tour Operator deny all responsibility for not bringing the tour or package services; these services will not be reprogrammed. Tour operator will bring the services only from the portion considered after the arrival of passengers. The portion of the program lost for this reason is not refundable.
TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU, its intermediaries and employees are not responsible for loss, damage or injury related to services or accommodations provided by the railroads, bus companies, tour companies, tour employees, boat companies, airlines and or hotels. All of the above are subject to local laws of the country where the services are provided.
TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU reserves the right to alter the program of any package / tour.
TREKSTOMACHUPICCHU will issue all e-tickets and e-vouchers for all services at the starting location of the package / tour, or will send them to the address indicated by the client.

ACCEPTANCE OF RISK

Our tour package itineraries have been designed to provide participants with an exposure to the true nature of the environment visited and therefore involve an element of personal risk and exposure to potential hazards over and above those associated with normal “package” holidays. The client acknowledges that the nature of the tour is adventurous and that such activities may involve a significant amount of personal risk.

AUTHORITY ON TOUR

At all times the decision of the company's guide or representative will be final on all matters likely to endanger the safety and well being of the tour group. The client must at all times strictly comply with the laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of Peru. Should the client fail to comply with the above, or should the client interfere with the well being of the group then the guide or company representative may order the client to leave the tour without recourse to any refund.

INSURANCE

It is the client's responsibility for obtaining sufficient personal travel insurance. The client is willing to accept full responsibility for insurance up to limits that the client may require. This insurance must cover personal accident, medical expenses, air ambulance, loss of effects, repatriation costs and all other expenses which might arise as a result of loss, damage, injury delay or inconvenience occurring to the client. It is compulsory that all clients have personal travel insurance. When obtaining travel insurance the client must ensure that the insurer is aware of the type of travel to be undertaken.
